Rainwater Harvesting Systems and underground tanks for the home and garden. Don't pour your money down the drain! A Nimbus Rainwater Harvesting System can save you around 50% of your mains water costs -- An analysis of the daily average water consumption of 147 litres per person shows that around 50% of this usage can be cost effectively replaced by rainwater. Our Rainwater Harvesting Systems can therefore help to save more than 25,000 litres a year per person (100,000 litres for a family of 4). LEGAL COMPLIANCE - The government is planning to fully implement its 'CODE FOR SUSTAINABLE HOMES' by 2016. Part of this code refers to water usage in the home. When the code is fully implemented, the maximum daily amount of water that can be drawn from the mains is 85 litres (compared to the current average of 147 litres per day) which is clearly insufficient for most peoples needs. This means that a new source of water, other than the mains, will have to generate the balance of the water required. Ecologically friendly - a) Helps to control rising water costs b) Reduces the need for water treatment and transportation c) Assists in preserving groundwater supplies d) Helps to stop sewage systems overflowing in times of heavy rain as a significant amount of rainwater is diverted to the underground storage tank for future use. In the UK, we currently flush our toilets, wash our cars and water our plants with the cleanest, most expensive water in the world! NIMBUS OUTDOOR - Complete garden system for watering the garden, washing the car etc. NIMBUS DUAL - The economic solution for house and garden. NIMBUS DUAL PLUS - The total solution for house and garden All available in several different tank sizes to match your roof harvesting area..............rainwater harvesting is a method of collecting rainwater from the roof via the guttering. The downpipe from the gutter is connected to an underground storage tank, where the rainwater is filtered and distributed to the various garden or home appliances by means of a pumping and control unit. In the event that the rainwater in the tank empties, or falls below a predetermined level, the system automatically switches to mains water supply until such time that the storage tank is refilled with rainwater..
