This is an irresistible of 17^th Century Solid Pine Bookcase yes it is pine even though it is such a dark colour at a first glance you would think that it was Oak

The Bookcase or Cupboard is Spanish or Moorish in Origin and has a Very Rustic Look. The sides and doors each have 5 Heavily Moulded Panels and there are small but also heavily moulded Plinth and Cornice

There is some wonderful medieval iron work in the hinge straps and interior bolts of this piece I hope that you can see these clearly in the pictures, there is a lock and key but although old these are not original

This is a one piece cupboard it has adjustable ratchet shelf supports and there are 2 shelves that come with it but it would be simple to make more if they were needed, there is also a hanging rail inside the cupboard but this is a later addition

This is a very old piece of furniture it has a very Rustic appearance there have been repairs carried out in the lock area a very long time ago, there are numerous dings and dents on the surface and some shrinkage cracking but if you enjoy this look you will not be disappointed with this sensational cupboard, there are a few wood worm holes so I have had this treated so that there are no more problems

The cupboard is 79” high, 42” wide and 22” deep
