THE FIVE NATIONS written by RUDYARD KIPLING. 1903 Methuen hardcover, no publication history - assuming 1ST EDITION. Hardcover: red cloth, faded on spine and on cover margins, scuffs on extremities, small nick bottom spine. Internally book very clean, no inscriptions, no marks, apart from end-papers sunned. Gilt lettering spine. Pages rough cut on bottom & front edges. Overall book very good. This book has the name "David" instead of "Saul" on page 56, which is another indicator of 1st edition status. With a dedicatory poem and 53 other poems and songs by Rudyard Kipling. Included are some of the author's most famous including The Destroyers, The Explorer, "Sussex", "Buddha at Kamakura", "Our Lady of the Snows", "South Africa" and "The Parting of the Columns".
