What is this listing for?
One Brand New Land Rover Crank Angle sensor for the later style of Rover V8 engine that has no distributor. That's Range Rover P38's (4.0 and 4.6), also the Defender 50th Aniverssary and the Morgan 4.0l. 1999 onwards.
Will it fit My Engine
It is suitable for the Sagem (GEMs) or Motronic (Thor) engine management 4.0, 4.6 litre, with only a few exceptions, if you are not sure, please tell us what vehicle you have and we will advise.these pick ups are also suitable for NAS (North American Std.) and ROW (Rest of World Std.)
Please note then that there are two different styles of this sensors (one as shown with the plug on the sensor, as shown in the main picture, and the other style has wires from the sensor to the plug, as shown in the second picture). Please be sure to let us know which one you require when purchasing this item.
What does it do
Used to inform the ECU of the position of the Crank shaft instead of a normal older style distributor in distributor-less Vehicles that is those fitted with the later Rover V8 engines.and can be the cause and culprit of bad idle, engine misfiring or complete lack of power to mention but a few symptoms.
Many critical fuel injection control items are already becoming hard to find for the later Rover V8 engine and often have large back order waiting lists too. Its not so expensive to have a spare and it takes up so little space in the glove box too.
We also supply oil pumps for any Rover V8 engine, timing covers, water pumps, oil filters, engine covers and any component needed to rebuild/replace.
