This is a very exciting opportunity to own the very limited green ‘Elvis Elvis’ by the subversive artist Ron English.

The iconic print was produced in 4 colour ways and only 25 of each colour was created. This auction is for the green Elvis and is number 7 of 25.

I bought the print from the recent sell out ‘Adam and Ron’ Show at the Elms Lesters gallery in London. The print is signed and numbered by Ron English and also has the Elms Lesters blind stamp of authenticity. I have the receipt from the gallery which will be supplied with the print.

RON ENGLISH has pirated over one thousand billboards over the last twenty years, replacing existing advertisements with his own hand-painted "subvertisements."

He revels in taking on the establishment, tearing down corporate icons, and unravelling social constructs.

His works on canvas contain an equally biting commentary whilst being flawlessly painted in a hyper-real style.

His paintings have been exhibited in galleries and museums worldwide and his work is included in prominent collections, including the Museum of Contemporary Art in Paris and the Whitney Museum in New York, and were featured in Morgan Spurlock’s film ‘SUPER SIZE ME”.

The film "POPaganda: The Art and Crimes of Ron English" was released on DVD in 2007. Shot 'guerrilla style' it features ENGLISH as one of the leading figures of the international agitprop movement of artists who paint over billboards and create other art that takes aim at the emptiness of modern culture.
