ROBERT MITCHUM 2 portraits '40s '50s acting; jail

Original b&w press photographs (not reproductions). Great addition to your Hollywood collection! Lot of 2 photos of acting legend and one-time bad boy Robert Mitchum.

#1 (left) From 1952 shows a still from the movie "Macao" with Mitchum smoking and looking at someone who's been cut out of the image. Very nice closeup with a typical 1950s hairdo! Size: 5 1/2 x 8; very high-gloss finish; grease pencil marking at top margin; grease pencil smudge over "Macao" at bottom; uneven right margin due to cutting out other actor; some faint dents here and there due to age and handling through the years; publication notes on back; multiple #stamps on back; discoloration on back.

#2 (right) Not dated, but very likely from late 1940s when Mitchum was jailed on marijuana charges. He looks kinda rough, especially in those jail clothes. His pants have "JAIL" painted on the knee, the photo shows, and the back has "Robert Mitchum (Dope)" written in pencil. Size: 5 1/4 x 8; very high-gloss finish; uneven margin on right; some creases at upper corners; "Robert Mitchum (Dope)" written in pencil on back; news wire service stamp on back; discoloration on back.
