Item Information

The KAT315 is a Radar and Laser detector. It uses latest technology Micro-Scan and Smart-Scan. It detects frequencies including X, K, Ka, Superwide, Safety and Instant-On radar.

The detector functions include; Signal strength meter, Mute, Dim and City/Highway functions. It also has last setting memory which records the last setting even if the unit is turned off or unplugged.

Gatso Detection:

This will detect Gatso cameras as long as they fall under the K, Ka or X bands.
Some Gatso's are hard to detect because they may face away from you & the radar beam is coming from behind you as well.
The detector can only pick up radar or laser that is in use. Once you pass a camera, it detects your movement and turns on. It then takes an additional 7-10 seconds after the alert for the camera to measure your speed. Once the detector alerts you, you'll have plenty of time to slow down before the camera can get a reading.

K Band: 24.150 GHz
Ka Band: 33.400 to 36 GHz

If it's not within the frequency range, it will not detect it.
