RICKENBACKER 4001 FireGlo 1982, the real deal
This Ric is in really nice condition, it was manufactured in 1982.. Comes complete with Ric case.
There are some small marks on the guitar particulary on the back please see pics. This is a lovely looking and sounding bass.
This comes with 4001 with a double truss rod system and has the brown shedua strip of wood running through the neck and body, sometimes known as the skunk stripe. .
We have stripped the guitar down to give her a real good clean and inspected it at the same time. We took photos of the housing showing the skunk stripe running through and took photos of the pots and elecronics
On one of the tuners screws was replaced at some point The truss rods are fine.
The neck is great on this bass, it has an African rosewood fretboard which is lacquerd, the frets show wear but has plenty of fret left.
The mute is missing, very few people ever use this. It plays totally normal without it. These can be picked up off Ebay for probably around 10 pounds.
This an honest and fair appraisal of this beautiful Ric Bass.
Strings were taken off and replaced with Rotosound Round Wound 45-105.
On playing the guitar everything was perfect
No problems at all with the electronics and the pots are all great and it has the Ric tone.
The Ric comes complete with the original Ric case. It is in good shape, on the top it has i think the remaines of the glue from sticky tape in the shape of a cross.

The customer is responsible for any bank charges and the funds must be received in GBP to the full amount inc. shipping costs.
We also accept payment through our secure online internet site at soundmeout, which is run by HSBC, from most major credit and debit cards. This service can be limited to UK and some parts of Europe and other countries. Please ask first.
For purchases outside of the UK with respect to guitars we mainly only accept Bank transfer.
For Outside of the UK we prefer Bank transfer due to Paypal not being able to verify addresses. Sorry for any inconvienence. We welcome you to have a look at your guitar prior to purchase and coffee is always on..
The shipping of small items is through Royal mail. Generally we use recorded service and first class. For overseas we recommend using "International Signed for" This service is slightly more expensive but your goods are insured and trackable.. The Sellers International rate is just normal overseas posting, we will obtain proof of posting but it will not be insured or trackable incase its lost. Details will be on the listing.
For guitars within the UK this will be shipped using our couriers and normally on a 24 hour service and fully insured.
For international shipments we use FedEx or other major carriers and guitars are generally in the Euro Zone within 24 hours and typically USA and Australia within 3 days.
All guitars must be insured and the customer is responsible for any duties in their country. Within Europe this is generally free from Tax but please ensure you are aware of your tax rules.
RETURNS
If you are not completely satisfied with our products, you may return them for a full refund (freight excluded both ways) subject to the following terms and conditions:
The shipping for purchase and return is the responsibility of the buyer
1. All returns must be accompanied by a valid Return Authorisation Number which will be given.
2. You must be able to supply a copy of the invoice/receipt, order number or invoice number. Please call us at 056 023 86680 to obtain an RA#. All returns that do not clearly display the RA number on the outside of the packaging will automatically be refused.
All RA numbers must be issued within 2 days of receiving the product. If there is a problem with your order, please DO NOT DELAY in contacting us!
3. All returned product must be in "as received" condition and unaltered in any way. Do not install, sand, drill, rout, paint, file, take the protective plastic off pickguards or alter the product in any way until you have thoroughly inspected it for accuracy and have checked the fit! Product that has been altered in any way will not be accepted for return!
4. Product must be packaged securely and with sufficient protection to avoid damage in transit and insured for the return journey. If, in our opinion, any product shows evidence of damage, misuse, improper handling or insufficient packaging, it will not be eligible for exchange, refund or warranty consideration.
5. Custom work is not refundable. Orders that have been formally acknowledged by soundmeout.com and then confirmed by the customer are not refundable for reasons other than material or workmanship defect.
6. We do not accept returns on Books or other printed matter or other forms of media i.e DVD
There will be a 20% restocking fee for goods not wanted
