The complete works of Rembrandt in eight folio size volumes. 34.5cm by 44.5cm. A history, description and heliographic reproduction of all the masters pictures with a study of his life and his art in German text. Wilhelm Bode ( Director Der Koniglichen Gemaldegalerie in Berlin) created this immense work together with C Hofstede De Groot, ( director of the Copper Engravings Cabinet in Amsterdam). Published by Charles Sedelmeyer 6 Rue La Rochefoucauld, Paris 1897 - 1905. German Edition Limited to 160 copies. 10 copies printed on Japan paper with 150 copies on Holland paper. This set being number 90. All in good condition with tissue guarded plates. Stitched binding. Some scattered foxing. For more information or pictures please email. Volume one (erster band). 1897 Good clean condition. Cover worn with some tears. 177 pages with 71 plates.

Volume two (zwieter band) 1897 Scattered foxing to first blank leaf. Plate 76 has considerable foxing. Generally good condition. Cover worn with some tears. plates 72 to 148. 182 pages.

Volume three ( dritter band) 1899. Cover and first 30 pages has water damage mainly confined to clear margin area, text is still clear and defined. Cover is damaged (see pic).  plates 149 to 228. 208 pages.

Volume four (vierter band) 1900. General good condition. Back of cover has a tear. Cover has general wear. Clean text and clean plates. plates 229 to 314. 219 pages.

Volume five (funfter band) 1901. General condition good. Some wear to cover with tears. plates 315 to 400. 218 pages.

Volume six ( sechster band). 1901. Clean and clear text and plates. Cover worn. plates 401 to 485. 208 pages.

Volume seven ( siebenter band ) 1902. Cover worn with tears. Text clean and clear. Plates clean. plates 486 to 539. 259 pages.

Volume eight (achter band ) 1905. Cover worn with some tears. Text clean. Plates clean. plates 540 to 595. Plus 21 others. Urkundenbuch Uber Rembrandt. 340 pages.
