RELIANT REGAL MK 4 CLASSIC CONVERTIBLE HEAD TURNER

This absolute stunner belongs to a friend of mine who does not "do" technology, so I am offering it on his behalf.

This is a very geniune Mk 4 Reliant Regal and is apparently very rare as it is a CONVERTIBLE.

(The grp hardtop comes off!)

The genuine mileage of 17684 is verifiable as there is a quantity of documentation with the car.

It has not been used for the past four years or so, dry stored in a barn (yes really!)

It appears to be very complete, together with a small quantity of spares.

As I understand it, there is very little work needed to pass an MoT, including the rear brakes, exhaust tail pipe and some lighting issues- Malcolm will be able to amplify on this.

It would appear to be a very quick and easy job to get this beauty road legal, but Malcolm does have other commitments on his time, and sadly has decided he's never going to get round to sorting it, so wants it to go to a good home.

My wife has told me that I'm in the same boat, so I can't have it either, much as I'd be chuffed to bits. It's certainly a head-turner!

The battery is flat, but Malcolm assures me that the car does run ok.

This vehicle will need to be trailered away (or put in the back of a van) as it is not legal on the road at the moment.

The paintwork has lifted in a few places, but this would be an easy fix. The grp body appears to be in good order.

The car is not on it's original reg number as this was sold some time ago, but the current number is age-related.

There is documentation including original service records, instruction manual and a very nice period brochure.

Classed as historic vehicle so no road tax.

Hi there,some info for your auction which i hope will be of use in attaining a good price and securing it a good home,there is a pic of this car in a well respected Reliant enthusiasts book,and from figures that have been collated over many years,this car is believed to be the sole surviving mk4 Regal saloon.I rescued a mk4 van last year,which became the sole surviving mk4 van,as prior to that none were known. The mk4 was an interin model and as such only c.1500 were made,and i believe yours to be the only one left. kind regards,

Malcolm has advised me that he has now bought a new battery, and that he has a spare wheel. The hub caps, in alloy, are part of the box of spares.
