RARE WW2 (Circa 1942) Booklet: "THE STORY OF THE TANKS"

A Very Rare 32-page booklet entitled THE STORY OF TANKS by Major J. T. Gorman. This is a typical WW2 period Public Information booklet, produced to help satisfy the desire of the General Public for information on the war effort, and the machines that were being employed in the British and Commonwealth Armed Forces. This booklet isn't dated, but mentions that tanks were "doing good service in Africa", which tends to date it to the 1942 period. The book is illustrated with 20 B&W photos. A very rarely found booklet (this is the first one we've ever seen in some twenty years of trading!). The centre pages have become detatched, due to the staple going rusty after over six decades (see fourth & fifth photos below). Apart from this - a very collectable booklet, produced during the war. Good-average condition for age.
