Extremely unusual reverse carved rose and diamante brooch dating, I believe, to the 1940s. The brooch is an oval shape with a delicate lilac reverse carved rose done on a white background. The rose is framed in gilt coloured metal with diamante detail top, bottom and to both sides. The rose is very delicately done and has a 3D effect against the white. Elegant and unusual with that WOW factor. It is in good condition with a few feint scratches from wear which can only be seen through a glass and are mentioned for accuracy only. All the stones are present and shiney. The brooch fastens with a vintage roll over clasp and measures approximately 4.75cms by 3.75.
