Copy of Timothy McSweeney's Issue 5 with Simple Red Cover. The book was edited by Dave Eggers. It was published in Iceland in 2000.

The dustjacket is the simple red cover with a list of contributors on the back. The contributors include Lydia Davis, J. Robert Lennon, Jason Ockert, Elizabeth Klemm, Sara Vowell, Ted Koppel, Ann Cummins, Susan Minot, Daniel O'Mara, Chad Willenborg, Kelly Feeney, Paul LaFarge, Paul Collins, Courtney Eldridge, Joshua Bearman, Paul Maliszewski, Steven Barthelme, RJ Curtis, Ben Greenman, Alastair Reid, Ben Marcus and Colleen Werthmann.

The front cover of the book features the medical drawing of an arm and reversed writing. The back cover has a collection of small black and white drawings and says "The Assembled."

The book has a full color foldout in the center.

This dustjacket has a small rip in the back near the top of the spine and a smal tear in the front (see photos). The book itself is in mint condition. The book is square and tight and appears unread. No marks. The fold out is completely intact and appears never to have been unfolded.
