This is a fantastic vintage timepiece with advertisements that amuse and inform us of the 70’s. A home salon style hairdryer to sit under for £6.95 and the Lightening zip ad which strikes a cord for those of us who like most girls in the 70’s, made their own dresses – it is the David Cassidy and Jackson 5 posters in the background that strike a cord. The fashion photography from Bali by Peter Knapp is excellent and the 3 page article about Twiggy and her passion for knitting provide some vintage photographs which are not commonly seen (photographed by Justin De Villeneuve). There are ads for mary Quant cosmetics, Dubbonnet and for the Renault 15 which is now a classic car that make one realise that the 70’s really are a lifetime away. This magazine has so much to see and read and is interesting not just because it is 34years old.

CONDITION: Very Good
This vintage magazine is 35 years old and is in remarkably good condition throughout. The pages are flat and tight and the cover is unmarked and clean. This copy has stood the test of time and has been well looked after. There is a slight white line running vertically below Princess Anne’s ear and a tiny crease in the bottom right hand extreme tip of the cover. The back cover is coming away from the spine in a split less than 1cm long. This is minor -this is one of the freshest copies from this year I have found. Check-out the scan of the cover, it is the magazine on offer not a stock photograph.
STILL IN VOGUE has a policy of honesty in the description of the vintage and used magazines we sell. This may work against us in that we draw attention to damage and it sounds much worse than it is. Not all vintage magazine sellers offer individual condition reports so one is left to assume their magazines are all in mint condition. We hope however that you, the buyer, appreciate that we want to supply you with goods that will match or exceed your expectations and not dash them.
