This RARE LARGE Mesolithic FLAKE ARROWHEAD was found near Linwood in the New Forest, Hampshire, England.
Some 4.8cm tall & made on a lightly patinated flint flake. This is an excellent very thin example of its type - unfortunately there is a chip to the tip. One edge has serrated retouch.
Proof that Mesolithic man was hunting in the area that became the New Forest long before Norman Kings.
