RARE GEORGIAN OLD SHEFFIELD PLATE STANDISH C1795
A very fine quality rare Georgian old Sheffield plate standish, circa 1795. This standish has a flat surface with rounded ends, and has a gallery which is pierced and engraved. There is a vacant rectangular shape cartouche in the centre of the gallery. The standish has four legs, which have ball and claw feet, and has a loop handle that is cast with beaded decoration. This standish is in excellent condition, with only slight wear to the plate surface, and very small dint on the flat surface, all in all though exceptionally good condition for age, and a is very desirable item of Georgian old Sheffield plate.

This is very fine quality rare Georgian old Sheffield plate candle snuffers or pen tray. The date is circa 1795.
