RARE GEORGIAN CORKSCREW WITH BRASS GRIPPER AND HANDLE MADE OF LIGNUM VITAE WOOD
CIRCA 1820
This corkscrew has a fine turned lignum vitae or rosewood handle with horsehair dusting brush to one end.
It has a turned Baluster shaft with a brass cork gripper.
The worm is of steel and is good and straight.
The shaft and the worm measures 10.16 cms long with the handle measuring 15cms long ( including the horsehair brush)
This corkscrew is in very good condition for its age.

that I always add close ups of every item, especially if there is a defect.
Magnified digital photography tends to show up all minute scratches and
marks, but often these marks cannot be seen when viewed with the naked eye; if that is the
case then I will mention it.
