This is an auction for a genuine Porsche PCM2 Satellite Navigation module with integrated phone, CD player, and tuner. It has had very little use and was removed from a very low mileage Boxster 987 in order to install a custom audio system. To buy new from Porsche this unit alone costs £2,100+ VAT. It will plug into the existing (non-PCM) wiring however, I should point out that it will also require a GPS antenna (which is very cheap) & also a DVD reader & lead which are relatively cheap and can even be found second-hand.

I originally bought this unit to install in my 987 Boxster as I was impressed by a courtesy Porsche which had the unit fitted. As I am now selling my Porsche I have no need for the module. If you like the look of the unit and want a nice new Boxster to go with it for the Summer, then please see my other auctions.

The unit itself is in full working order (see photos below). All the controls are in excellent order with little sign of any use. There are some small marks on the left hand side (see photos) however these are not obvious when fitted as the front centre console protrudes over the side of the unit largely covering the side (they are only very small marks- not scratches on the front of the unit).

The unit has a built-in phone module whereby you simply insert the SIM card from your phone; obviously it also has a CD player and tuner with all sorts of audio adjustments including speed-sensitive volume. Furthermore it has the function to display all driver and trip information so you can clearly see your journey statistics such as average MPG, speed, times etc. It does all sorts of other clever things too but I can’t quite remember as it was last year that I had the courtesy car with the same unit fitted.

It has been fully tested and I have seen it working fully myself before I bought it. Please do not confuse this with other modules that may be available on Ebay – this is a genuine UK version with UK functionality & compatible with UK cars.
