WHAT A GREAT LATE VICTORIAN SUGAR BOWL!! Here we have a quite exceptional solid silver SUCRIERE of excellent weight and gauge. Hallmarks are deep and clear. It is assayed in London,year letter H for 1883.And by Bond Street Retailer Francis Boone Thomas (always responsible for fine quality pieces)-refer to Jackson's pocket edition page 54. What a delightful piece! This lovely sugar bowl is of exceptional quality and is a most wondrous piece of table silver. Weight of actual silver is a sublime 295 grams (9.49 troy ounces),this piece is made of very thick gauge silver throughout. It is huge at 7.75 inches in diameter and 4.25 inches high. The condition is terrific. It is of quite superb quality and condition. A RARE FIND. It is unengraved and always has been,definitely no erasures either. This half fluted bowl would make a lovely Christmas present.. Please note that i have listed many other good silver pieces too. A truly beautiful and most wonderful ANTIQUE VICTORIAN BOWL.
