Diplodocus Bone Knife Scales
This is an auction for a pair of Diplodocus bone knife scales, measuring 2.9" x 1.7" x 0.2", from the Isle of Wight, UK. Highly detailed bone and cell structure clearly visible, with beautiful colouring. A very stable, not-crumbly (does not need plasticising) material that has been cut, ground and lightly polished by us here at our workshop (but these scales will take a much higher finish). I am fairly certain that these are the only Diplodocus bone scales for sale anywhere! A very unusual material, ideal for high quality custom knives. Unlike quartz and agate, fossilized bone has an approximate hardness of 4 and is easily crafted and polished, without the need for specialist equipment.

All items are sent as quickly as possible upon payment. We cannot be held responsible for delivery times or items lost in the post once they have left our premises.
