THIS IS A VERY RARE AND BEAUTIFUL FRENCH ART GLASS OPEN SALT CELLAR.  THIS PIECE IS SIGNED "DAUM NANCY" CIRCA 1890.  THIS TUB SHAPED SALT HAS TWO TAB HANDLES AND A LIGHT BLACK RIM AND SITS ON A ROUND BASE.  THE SIDES ARE DECORATED WITH A WINDMILL, SAILBOATS AND A LAKE SCENE.  IT IS 1 3/8" TALL AND IS 1 7/8" IN DIAMETER.  THERE ARE A COUPLE OF TINY ENAMEL SPOTS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE BOWL.  CONDITION IS VERY GOOD WITH NO CHIPS OR CRACKS.  SIMILAR PIECES FEATURED IN THE OPEN SALT COMPENDIUM ON PAGE 37.
