RARE Crown Devon BULLDOG Figure Rd Applied for

Fresh from an Estate Sale and up for Auction is this Super RARE Crown Devon, BULLDOG Figure / Figurine. He / She is approx 7" tall and 10 1/2" long and in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. On the face (his/her) right side cheek / upper lip area, there is a tiny bead of white glaze on top on the brown glaze. There also is a couple of light spots (just above the speck) from where the glaze skipped when it was brushed on . Neither affect the overall beauty of this RARE piece. On the underbelly is the Maker's mark. It reads as follows: CROWN DEVON, Fieldings, Made in England, Rd Applied For. This Bulldog is an early one, prior to it being registered; if it is ever was. I can find no reference numbers to a Crown Devon Bulldog anywhere. The Maker's mark (according to Kovels' book of marks) was used from 1913 to 1930's.

I did a lot of searching and all I could find is a reference to a Crown Devon Bulldog (7" tall) in a live auction that had an Auction estimate of 160.00 English Pounds. I do not know if it was the same as this one or as early as this one or what it actually sold for..

As I do not have much to go on for it's value I am putting up for sale with a price of $450.00 and will accept offers. I may be a bit on the high on the asking price; if so, make me an offer.
