This listing is for an an original chassis identification plate from a little known veteran American car (or motor vehicle) from the 1906 to 1918 era. It is about  3" or 76 mm long with two original mounting holes.

The badge reads as follows:-

CHICAGO PNEUMATIC TOOL CO.

  CHICAGO     NEW YORK

CAR: 1383     MODEL: D

MOTOR: c724   TRANS.: A928

The current web site of Chicago Pneumatic states that: "1911 Production begins for the gasoline-driven CPT car and 'Little Giant' trucks." It appears production of trucks was discontinues in 1918 and their motor cars well prior to that. My Georgano's Encyclopedia of MOTORCARS has a listing for "C.P.T." which states: " (US) 1906 Chicago Pneumatic Tool Co, Chicago, Ill. Although they made vans for some years, the only private car venture of the C.P.T. company was a 22hp runabout with solid tyres which they built for the use of their travellers." 

The badge is used but has survived well and remains in good condition with just a small blemish under the "K" of New York and the right hand mounting hole..

An original id badge from a very rare motor vehicle produced by a company still operating (throughout the world) today!
