RARE Australian Army Webbing: "WW2 (SMLE) BAYONET FROG"

A rare unissued, unblancoed, WW2 period, Australian Army WEBBING BAYONET FROG. This frog was specifically designed to accomodate the Army soldier's SMLE bayonet. Examples of these types of frog, made for the SMLE bayonet are now becoming very difficult to find - the ones you usually come across are British, post-war dated, and have a small cut in the top horizontal retaining strap, to accomodate the (later) spike bayonet. Not this one however - this is purely for the SMLE bayonet. This frog is made form a distinctly lighter coloured webbing, and is more yellow in colour. It is not dated, but probably dates from the early to mid-war period. Unissued, and unblancoed. Excellent condition for age.
