Up for auction is one of the RAREST pieces of American Art Deco Pottery. This "DANCING NUDES" Table Lamp, was produced by MUNCIE POTTERY CO., of MUNCIE, INDIANA, for a very limited time, around 1926 to 1928. It stands 25 1/2" to top of finial, and has 5 DIFFERENT PANELS of "DANCING NUDES", in low relief. This fine AMERICAN ART DECO LAMP is shown in The Muncie Pottery book of 1998. This example is done in a PINK MATTE glaze, with a DRIPPY GREEN MATTE glaze over that. The BOTTOM is inscribed with a 1-A(see photo). The finial is a period IVORENE(not original) one. It was rewired several years ago and works perfectly. ALL ORIGINAL(except finial). Overall condition is EXCELLENT, with NO CHIPS, CRACKS or ABRASIONS! There are 2 FACTORY GLAZE MISSES, at the base, on one side(see closeup photo). This is NOT damage, and DOESN'T DETRACT from this RARE piece of AMERICAN ART DECO!!
