RARE Antique Copper HELIX Non Spill OIL CAN British

This is a very attractive and RARE ANTIQUE COPPER - 'HELIX' British Made NON SPILL OIL CAN or JUG. I am told that this item is likely to be from the early 1930's,and is a rare oiler. It is a well made solid copper oil can stamped on the top 'HELIX - British Made' along with a registration (?) number. It has a thin spout and good sized side handle, the can looking to hold around 1/2 pint of oil. The top has a filling shield and there is an inner fixed lid to make the can spill proof. I believe that this item was intended to dispense Helix brand motor oil and is now a hard to find can. This one is in splendid condition for its age and measures 5 1/2" tall by 5 3/8"wide across the handle with a body diameter of 3 1/2".
