Antique Tribal & Village Rugs from Persia and the East

Antique Timuri Baluch rug.

2nd half 19th century.

The rug has a rare border design, with beautiful small ivory rosettes. The border design contains Turkmen elements in a square format. Some of these elements are in a very soft green.

The end finished are most interesting with a piled band at each end that is not part of the border design.

The blues through out the rug are excellent with a bright 'electric' blue.

The condition is as found, with wear and one finger tip size hole. The rug has not been washed and will really sparkle with a good clean.

Size: 4ft 11in x 3ft 0in.
