ITEM: Did you think you'd ever see one of these? I've only seen two, ever. One in the OMSA book, and this one (mine). This is the Type 1 Imperial Japanese military wound badge. The front reads SENSHOU, which means it was awarded for being wounded in a combat situation. There is no silver hallmark, but the book states it's made of silver. The characters on the front still have most of the gilt. Original case is included too. This wound badge measures 27.5 mm from top to bottom and 25 mm wide. The condition is very nice still. The lid reads GUNJIN SHOUSHITSU KISHOU (Soldier's Wound Badge). As I meantioned before, this comes from my personal collection and I've never seen another for sale.
