I tested this rainbow SE out on my carpet by vaccuming, and it works fine. I did not test the carpet cleaning part only vaccum a little, the item runs smooth, you get all items pictured, SE power nozzle, Aqua mate, bottle of concentrate floor cleaner, owners manual etc., although item runs well, it is sold as is, as there may be an accessorie or something I do not know about missing, I think it will be just fine, but I do have very limited knowledge of this type of item, any questions please ask...GOOD LUCK
