The bronze features a brown patina . There is some pitting to the bronze Sculpted in molten bronze using the lost-wax technique with hand-applied patinas casting and coated with wax. It is hand made and signed by the artist. The piece is in a very good condition

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Yoel A well known Israeli artist born in Jerusalem in 1953. Lives and creates art in the desert inspired by the wild and dramatic landscape surrounds him, the mountains the desert and the Dead Sea.

Yoel Is influenced deeply by the unique philosophy and history of the ancient Essenes that lived on the same soils in the desert some more than 2000 years ago. Motifs from the bible and spirits of the Essenes are found in his works. For the last 20 years Yoel works and sculptures with natural stone and bronze in his studio in Kibutz Kalia at the foothill of the Qumran Caves where the famous original bible scrolls where found, by the shores of the Dead Sea.
