RAAF DIAMOND JUBILEE 1921-1981 ENGLISH PEWTER TANKARD

This is a commemorative English Pewter 1/2 litre tankard issued by the Royal Australian Air Force to celebrate their Diamond Jubilee in 1981. The tankard has a glass bottom and has ENGLISH PEWTER SHEFFIELD ENGLAND stamped on the base. This tankard belonged to my late father who has scratched an ID code on the base. I know that it has never been used for its designed use but it has sat in a cabinet for the last 28 years unused. I have not polished the pewter at all so it is in it's natural condition. Their are no dents and no damage at all as you would expect. It comes with a small card issued by the Association of British Pewter Craftsmen. Engraved on the tankard are the names of famous RAAF aircraft used throughout the years as well as the words ROYAL AUSTRALIAN AIR FORCE DIAMOND JUBILEE 1921-1981.
