Silence by Rosalie Winifred Thurston An Exhibition quality painting by this listed artist. Overall size is 39.5 x 44.5 cm Image size is 22.5 x 27 cm Rosalie exhibited at many major acadamies and was highly acclaimed during the mid 20th C She seemed to have moved around a bit working in Surrey, Suffolk and laterly in Plymouth. Her style seemed to folllow on from Art Deco and this painting is typical. This painting was exhibited and is in very good condition with no obvious defects. There are several exhibition stickers to the rear. It is monogrammed RT in the lower right. The colours whilst probably not evident in the photos are greens through blues and greys. An excellent painting which will display well. Cream Mount, Cream Slip, Period Wood frame with wavy line decoration in gulley. Complete with original glass.
