VERY RARE

Very Healthy, Strong and Beautiful Fish  photo 4 shows the  original first generation male they were not cheap coming to me from Gold Pices and originating in Germany. The other Photos are typical of the fish in this auction yellow / white body) all offspring are born RREA some will show yellow or blue some will be pure white as photos show,Photo 3 are super whites (NOT PLATINUM & NOT RELATED) available xmas & February,  all are very disirable ! !

2 Young definate sexed Rrea platinums.

 The parent male recently won the Guppy class at the Tyne Tees Area Open Show (2008)! every milimetre of the male as well as the female has colour the platinum scales reflect light.

the males will show some yellow after a time, sometime this fades back to white by mid day, but save me as a favourite as I will be trying to create a platinum yellow red eye guppy and a tuxedo.

These new strains were acquired at the International Guppy Show Singapore! The benefit of these English Bred guppies is they have been bred and raised in a natural freshwater environment and have good immunity to common diseases. This is in contrast to the mass produced imported ones found in most fish shops that have been raised in highly medicated water with antibiotics and much salt in the water to reduce the disease. Although this does reduce the disease at the breeders farms in this water, when they eventually arrive thru middlemen to your fish shops, and sold they come into contact with every day parasites and bacteria (Found in all aquariums) of which they have built very little or no Immune system to cope and so they go down hill very quickly. Certainly not the hardy beginner fish they were once considered! 

General Care

When the Guppies have matured you need to keep Guppies in pairs or with more females than males.

 Guppies are hardy little fish, but do need a mature aquarium. They are very peaceful and will mix with most other species of small community fish.  Avoid species such as Angelfish, Tiger Barbs, Cichlids and other large species.

Please remember that your new fish are young! 'check the size stated'  They may need to be housed in a breeding trap or growing-on aquarium, until they reach a suitable size to be released into your main tank.

I keep them at a temperature of 76F, in hard water around pH 7.2 small amount of salt. But they will tolerate a wide variety of water conditions as long as they are acclimatized slowly and properly.

They will cross breed with Endlers (and similer Poecilia species) so keep separate, once you have cross bred with an endler, all young will be ‘guppy’ hybrids I recommend that you do breed them in a separate tank keeping your Guppies pure.  I recommend that you keep them in a planted tank as Guppies love to browse on algae and vegetation, and this will also give your new babies somewhere to hide.

Breeding

Guppies give birth to live young, as soon as the fish have reached adulthood they will be breeding in no time.  Before you know it you’ll have lots of baby Guppies swimming around as long as you keep the babies away from other fish as they may make a meal of them!  Each female will give birth every 26-30 days to anywhere from 5 babies and often many many more.

Feeding

My fish are bred and raised on a staple diet of Granular food, with additional feeds of micro worms, brine shrimp and spirulina.

A main diet of good quality flake with plenty of greenery in their diet will be fine though.

  These fish come from disease free aquariums unlike most shop sold fish.

F.A.Q.

these are sexed pairs of the quality that I myself have purchased, and have a full breeding life ahead of them with the females usually virgins or have not yet produced fry. However if you do want adult fish with there breeding cycle finished, having produced their best genetic material in the first 4 month, mail me to see if I have them available. Also if you are only looking to stock a nano aquaria and want males only ask in advance and I will see if I can manage males only for you!

When I sell juveniles these are, old fry and not sexed out, but in a month they will! 6 or 10 is the optimum number to buy, to present you with good breeding stock ratio, I usually list both ages to give you that choice within 1 month. Take notice of the size stated, endlers are a smaller fish males being notable at 12mm, full size is 20mm, nose to caudal peduncle..

I have many years experience of fish keeping packing and transportation.  If you should not receive the correct number of live fish upon delivery I request that you contact me straight away, I require a picture of the fish in an unopened bag emailed to me and.  I will refund pro-rata (cost of fish lost) but only as long as you contact me  a.s.a.p. to verify day & time they arrive with you.

The fish will be professionally and very carefully packed in a Professional half size insulated fish transport box with a heat pack (if not necessary deduct £1.50). The water in the bag is treated to reduce stress and oxygen added. Ten auction wins can be added to each box for same price £13!    No need to return box.

  These fish come from disease free aquariums unlike most shop sold fish, and are fully acclimatized to a UK artificial environment!.

The fish will be dispatched via next day delivery (signed for) I can only send fish out on a Monday to Thursday or Friday for Saturday delivery (extra £2.40).And that is work permitting, please mail me a choice of days, I always confirm on the night of posting..

 The fish will be sent out on one of these days agreed with you after the auction so an adult will need to be home to take delivery sign for  and acclimatize them.  They should get to you before 1pm the next day. It is your responsibility to contact post office or myself if they do not show by this time, tho the package is insured plus £100, claims can not be made for 10 days (I have never had to make a claim for Special delivery losses)!
