I don t own a rotating craft table, but it is nice to be told that it is a non-essential item, while ordinary things such as pins, PVA glue and cocktail sticks are far more useful. I was impressed by the way that Ms Wilson mentions what it is necessary to own and what is optional - not enough craft books make this important distinction. In true Search Press style this is a book filled with colorful photographic staged diagrams, showing beginners (and anybody else) how to make a whole range of quilled shapes, fringing and those attractive huskings. This is the first book that shows exactly how these are made in plenty of easy stages, proving that not only beginners would find this book useful to own. The projects are of the type too that would appeal to a range of abilities - broken down into simple steps, but attractive and impressive enough to look at to tempt more advanced crafters. Decorate boxes, frames, cards, paperweights and even a memo board with these lovely motifs, but don t expect to find patterns for making boxes. All the items are pre-purchased blanks, so a trip to a craft store or the Search Press website for a suppliers list is in order if you want to do more than just cards. Another special touch is the facts about each flower, and a reminder that too many of them are endangered.
