Excellent Condition

Quad 405 (ser No 4,096) modifications

  1. ALL electrolytic capacitors are replaced with modern low ESR capacitors 
  2. Dual mono power supply with Schottky diodes
  3. Peak output current increased from 8.5 Amps to 12 Amps - increasing power output into 4 Ohm loads from 130 Watts RMS to 200 Watts RMS)
  4. Reservoir capacitance increased from 20,000 micro Farads to 27,400 micro Farads using modern low ESR electrolytics + ultra low ESR polypropylene capacitors
  5. Input op amps replaced with OPA134 op amps
  6. Driver board electrolytics replaced with low ESR electrolytics
  7. Gold plated phono inputs routed direct to the driver boards with shortened cable runs
  8. Speaker sockets replaced with gold plated banana sockets

Quad 34 (ser No 8,283) modifications

  1. All eight TL071 op amps replaced with  OPA134 op amps
  2. All four TL072 op amps replaced with  OPA2134 op amps
  3. Electrolytics replaced with low ESR electrolytics
  4. Quad 3Mv disk input card

Quad FM4 (ser No 15,650) modifications

  1. Electrolytics replaced with low ESR electrolytics
  2. Brand new battery
