Description
If you have not heard of Neodymium (NdFeB) magnets before, not to worry. They are in the family of Rare Earth magnets with Neodymium being the absolute strongest type of magnet available. They are even sometimes called permanent magnets.
Also available in lots of 2 in our eBay Shop in case you do not need 10.
This is a very useful size for a magnet. You can hold things up, store tools, stick them on your walls, or make gonzo powerful fridge magnets. These are a good deal more powerful than the D1/2" discs. Another is using them for magnetic therapy for themselves and their pet who is suffering from arthritis. What you use them for is up to your imagination. |

Safety & Care
Neodymium magnets have an incredibly powerful magnetic field. Extreme care should be taken when dealing with some of the larger sizes. Even a pair of 1/2"x1/8" discs can cause a reasonably uncomfortable pinch. Separating magnets may be difficult and will most likely require that you slide them apart as you probably will not be able to pull them apart.
Care should always be taken when handling any magnet near someone with a pacemaker or any other electronic equipment and magnetic media such as VCR tapes.
Neodymium magnets tend to be brittle and can shatter into small pieces if allowed to slam together. They are also not suitable for machining due to their brittle nature.
Unless otherwise noted, Neodymium magnets will start to lose their magnetism at temperatures above 80c (176F).
