1840 2d Blue Plate 1 Entire
QV 1840 SG5 2d Blue Plate 1 (E-E). A Fine quality stamp with 4 good margins all round tied by a light Red MX to a small folded Entire dated 17th August 1840 addressed from Birmingham to London.
The entire is clean with a central filing fold well clear of the stamp. The letter appears to be between two friends and details building renovation work and the search for suitable antique materials.
For the purposes of complete accuracy, I would mention some very minor splitting along some of the cover folds.
The cover has a Proschold certificate.
