Another from my personal collection! This album was ordered 3 months prior release in the uk in 1977. The vinyl was removed from the record sleeve and stored seperately in a poly sleeve all of its storage life!!! T\hat's the way i have always stored my albums. This is an unbelievabl 30 years old and only ever played a handfull of times even more unbelievable is the condition of the cover absolutely pristine!! You never see these original covers in any where near this condition (these are so hard to keep like this)!!! I have tried my best to capture the exceptional quality of this album in my photos in critical light!!!!!!!

News of the World is the sixth studio album by English rock band Queen, released in 1977.

Containing such hit songs as "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions" (which are both commonly heard at sporting events) and "Spread Your Wings", the album went four times platinum in the United States alone and is tied with 1980's The Game as Queen's best American selling album.

Despite being an abrupt departure from the band's progressive sound, the album is considered one of Queen's strongest albums from the 1970s. It received mixed reviews from both critics and fans upon its release, but today it is considered to be a milestone album in the development of arena rock.

News of the World was the second album to be produced solely by the band (the first being A Day at the Races) and was recorded at Sarm West and Wessex Studios, England and co-produced and engineered by Mike Stone.

The vinyl.

There isn't much to say about this vinyl. I can't see a blemish! Obviously any whispy lines that could possibly be seen would only have been caused by the vinyl been removed\slid in and out of its sleeve! I have stored the vinyl seperately in a poly sleeve all of its storage life!

The Cover

This is the original Garrod & Lofhouse (non) laminated gatefold cover the best that you will see this is like new I can't see any storageware even to the edges. Unbelievable to see (no) scuffing on these covers. Please note! there is no fading nor staining any one who knows these covers or has one would know how rare it is to find one like this!!!!!! Infact the only time that the gatefold has been opened on this album is when i took the photos for listing!!!!!

Please do not underestimate the rarety of this album and being an original 1st press that is 30 years old is becoming more and more collectable and in this condition will rarely ever be seen like this!!!!!!
