I HAVE FOR AUCTION A QUALITY FRENCH c 1850  MID VICTORIAN BURR WALNUT WITH OUTSTANDING BRASS INLAY LARGE JEWELLERY CASKET / BOX. THE DIMENSIONS ARE 11 3/4 INS, 30 CM LONG, 5 1/4 INS, 13 CM HIGH, 9  INS, 23 CM WIDE , WEIGHING 1586 GRAMMES OR 3 LBS 8 OUNCES.

1. ALL OF THE BURR WALNUT VENEER IS ALL THERE. PLEASE SEE PICTURES 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,11&12.

2. THE PATINA & ESPECIALLY THE GRAIN TO THE BURR WALNUT IS NICE. PLEASE SEE PICTURES 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,11&12.

3. THE BOX LOCKS SECURELY ON A GOOD LOCK. IT ALSO LOOKS LIKE THE ORIGINAL KEY.

4. IT HAS THE BEST BRASS INLAY I HAVE SEEN ON A BOX FOR SOME TIME, IT IS SPECIAL. PLEASE SEE PICTURES 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,11&12.

5. THE INSIDE LINING OF THIS ANTIQUE JEWELLERY BOX IS NICE. THE TOP IS QUILTED. IT ALSO HAS A LIFT OUT TRINKET TRAY. PLEASE SEE PICTURES 8,9&10.

6. THE BASE OF THIS JEWELLERY BOX HAS IT'S ORIGINAL GREEN HESSIAN  LINNING, GREAT TO PREVENT SCRATCHING OF FURNITURE.

7. BECAUSE OF THE SIZE OF THIS JEWELLERY CASKET / BOX YOU PROBABLY WILL NEVER NEED TO PURCHASE ANOTHER. IT WILL ACCOMODATE ALL YOUR JEWELLERY.

8. IF REQUIRED THIS BRASS INLAY WILL CLEAN UP A TREAT. I HAVE LEFT THE BRASS LIKE THIS TO GIVE THE OPTION TO THE NEW OWNER, BUT APPROX 1/2 AN HOUR WILL BRING THE BRASS BACK UP TO A BRIGHT YELLOW.
