Records are all described as accurately as possible according to the Record Collector gradings. It is not possible to listen to all of every record; therefore, the appearance of the vinyl itself is often relied upon for establishing the grade. The following abbreviations may be used within the descriptive text - 'BB': Hole punched in sleeve, 'CC': Corner Cut, 'C/O': Cut-out (all three expressions usually denote the LP's status as a past deletion and affect the sleeve condition only),'RW': Ring Wear (an impression of the disc edge on the sleeve). 'Feathering' refers to the visible softening of the two open edges of the sleeve caused by repetitive handling.
