About Us

We're a genuine UK company based in Essex offering quality items at prices far cheaper than the High Street. We spend many weeks of the year visiting factories all over the world to check pricing, quality and safety standards to ensure we are giving genuine value for money. We are the UK distributor for the fabulous Tamoretti Retro range of scooters, in addition we sell a wide range of 'Learner Legal' scooters and motorcycles from Pulse, Znen, Megelli, LML, Jinlun and Skyteam.You can be assured that we will always go the extra mile to get the job done. You are welcome to visit our showroom in Braintree in Essex, where you will find the full range of scooters and accessories on display.

Payment

We accept payment by: Credit or Debit Card, Paypal, Postal Orders, Bank Transfer, All Auction and "Buy It Now" prices include VAT. Please note that we will not send out goods until funds are clear.

Delivery

OTHER ITEMS
We aim to get all items sent out the same day for next working day delivery. Items ordered on a Friday will be delivered on the following Monday. As we use a 3rd party courier to deliver our items, we will not be held responsible if your item takes longer than expected. The courier company will make 2 attempts to deliver your goods, if you are out on both occasions they will charge you again to re-deliver. Please make sure someone will be at the delivery address. 
SCOOTERS
We charge a delivery fee of £58.75 if you live within 50 miles of our showroom in Essex or £115.00 if you live over 50 miles away. We aim to deliver all sold scooters within 7 days.
We DO NOT charge any extra if you wish to collect your items from us.

Scooter warranty

We include either a 6 or 12 month parts warranty in the price (see item listing for warranty duration). If you can get your scooter to us we will repair it free of charge. If you are unable to get your scooter to us we will send any replacement faulty parts to you FREE OF CHARGE. Items not covered under the warranty include those damaged by misuse, neglect or a collision. Also parts which have a lifespan based on usage and are expected to be replaced during normal service are not covered. Example of such parts include, but are not limited to tyres, tubes, brake shoes and pads, batteries, bulbs, spark plugs. Most scooters will be supplied with a 12 month warranty and you can take advantage of FREE roadside assistance cover through Rampdale or Bikesure insurance. You can contact Rampdale on 0870 444 6125 and quote ref 145247, or Bikesure on 0800 089 8070 and quote refrence G2174. Our standard warranty does not include labour or transportation costs, so please bear this in mind when you make your purchase.

Why buy from us?

Scooter Central is proud to have be selected as the UK distributor for the Tamoretti range of scooters. We also sell a wide range of other 'Learner Legal' scooters and motorcycles from Pulse, Znen, Jinlun, Skyteam, LML and Megelli. We offer an excellent service and parts support. We have priced our machines carefully. Avoid buying 'cheap' elsewhere, the machine itself may appear to be cheaper but will it last the test of time? It will not be such a good deal if you need to replace it after 6 months! Our parts department is probably one of the largest in the UK with over 10,000 various components available straight from the shelf, we are proud that we are able to provide so many parts for the scooters and motorcycles we sell in the UK, should we need to. Customer feedback is important to us, we measure the success of the brands we sell on what our customers think about them. Over the years we have made many changes to our products based on customer feedback. Unlike our competitors we choose which important components are fitted to our bikes. We will not allow the factories to fit cheap engine parts to our scooters.
