Hi , Im Kitkat and I run Fitters World , the online community resource for Kitchen Fitters . This is the bit where we sell router cutters for £3 /when they normally cost £14 or more else where , Saw blades for around £15 that will cost you £50 else where and 2 Part Professional super Glue that costs £8 else where but is around £4 here or a pack of 4 activator aerosols plus 4 50gm bottles of glue all for £16 plus £4 postage .
FindaFitter Forum tested this product last year!! What does that mean ? It means a dozen Professional Kitchen Fitters trialled it /tested it , and gave their unreserved endorsement , some of the comments were very technical and involved dog doo and blankets , some of the guys got caught out because it cures very fast .
2 Part super glue has been around a little over 10 years /in general use by Kitchen Fitters , whilst it is essentially the same product anywhere you go , there are 2 major criteria that affect preformance . 1.How much filler has been added ??2. When was it manufactured!!
Some distributors cut the adhesive by adding a cheap filler / essentially watering it down and in doing so half their base cost . Mitre Fix has no filler !
The date of manufacture is important because this product , regardless of where you buy it from has a shelf life of 1 year!! We tried to stock it last year and could nt because the manufacturer would nt sell in sufficiently small volume for us to get it to our customers and still have 6 months minium in which to use it . That is to say , buying a container load is wonderful and you get a cracking price but by the time your end user is starting in on the last of it /its gone off and dos nt work any more . So we ve finally got the manufacturer to see sense and we make sure we get fresh stocks on a regular basis .
Mitre Fix offers a 10 year warranty on this product and the bonds it forms !
Lastly ......We like the suck Eggs bit !! 2 part glue dos nt like the cold , thsi is only really an issue if theres frost on the ground and you re out on site trying to work out why your glues not working ?? I know guys who will keep it in their pocket to keep it warm !! I DON'T recommend it , keep it in the cab of your van so by the time you get on site its nice and warm /and not necessarily in the glove box , a lot of vans now run the AC's through the glove box so you can keep your diet coke cool .When using it apply it in a series of dots , spray the opposite side and bring together in such a way that any excess gets pushed away from the finished edge .....but you already know that !
PS This is a Professional Product only , if you purchase it , we are assuming you know what you are doing , always read the instructions and adopt safe practices .
