| This is the bargain of the year. Made in Scotland. This robust practice chanter is made from delrin and is very strong. I would like to say it is almost indestructible but, there is always someone out there who will prove me wrong. So, lets just say it is very strong. It is very mellow and melodic and this chanter will last a life time. Everyone learning needs a practice chanter. Do not pay over the odds for something fragile, badly made or even "fake Scottish" ( there are an awful lot of fakes on Ebay, made in Pakistan). Lets face it, if you are going to buy a practice chanter, you may as well buy a good, inexpensive one that will last a life time. My tuition system. Let me show you how to play like an expert. The bagpipes is not one of these instruments that you can just pick up and play. There are certain things you must learn first. Certain steps to take. I will take you through all these steps. DVD 1. The Talking/Playing tutor is quite unique. I teach how to read the music and I also let you hear what it sounds like on the practice chanter. While you are looking at the picture of the music, I am explaining and playing that piece for you. We start at the very beginning, showing you how to place your fingers on the chanter properly, the scale and then the more intricate movements. There are exercises and traditional tunes to learn. You will soon progress to the pipes. DVD 2. I filmed my hands in close up, playing all the movements and exercises, on the practice chanter, so that you can see exactly, how to play everything properly and become an expert. You will see the positioning of my fingers on the chanter. You will see what fingers are moved and when to move them to play particular movements and exercises. Now, for the first time, you have your very own bagpipe teacher who can go everywhere with you. No more leaving the house on a cold winter's night with the wind howling and the rain or snow pouring down, just to go for one hour of tuition. That is now old fashioned. Old hat! Stay right where you are in your nice warm house and listen and learn with me. You will not regret it! I promise!! If you are serious about learning, you may as well learn properly. It takes the same amount of effort as trying to "busk" your way through, trying to play what you "think" sounds ok. If you do not learn properly, everyone can tell! In the video, I refer to the book. This is the virtual tutor. Contents ; All the basic movements, necessary to become a piper. I could go and list everything but, it will not mean a great deal until you actually get into it. Tunes ; Amazing Grace, The Fairy lullaby, A man's a man for a' that, Bonnie Dundee, By Cool Siloam's shady rill, Colin's Cattle, Coulter's candy, Highland Cathedral, Highland laddie, Jenny's Bawbee, Killiecrankie, Mairi's Wedding, The Massacre of Glencoe, My Land. The practice chanter is made from durable polypenco to the traditional shape, bore and finger holes. It produces a bright, mellow tone. Ideal for all beginners especially children as this is 99% unbreakable. This may be the chanter you ever need. Will last for years and years. The true value of this is much, much more. As you will see.
