This is a pretty teapot (2 pint -  approx 8 teacup capacity) standing 5.5" to the top of the finial on the cover and measuring 8.5" across handle to spout produced by Mayfair China of the Staffordshire potteries bearing their potters mark on the underside with Bone China, Made in England.

The pattern is possibly called Indian Tree and consists of hand coloured pink and blue oriental flowers with 3 shades of green foliage and amber boughs over a grey transfer print of the design and placed against a pure white bone china ground.  Both pieces are finished with gold gilding which is in excellent condition.

This teapot is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing to the glaze and it will display absolutely beautifully or make a lovely addition to any indian tree service
