This neat box was probably a ladies cigarette box but would make a lovely jewellery or dressing table box for hair pins etc. It measures 7" long by 3.5" wide. it is in overall good condition with working hinges. The interior smells fresh and clean. The exterior is beaten pewter with a raised art nouveau style foliate design. The base is green baize. There is a dark stripe measuring 1" across the top which then runs down the side of the box which I have been reluctant to clean as I feel it does not detract from the overall attractive appearance. I have also listed a clothes brush which was kept on the same dressing table as the box.
