Beautiful Very Large Vera Cruz Pottery Female Figure Mexico Classic Period, Ca. 300-600 AD.
Lovely large Vera Cruz Female figure. The figure is characterized by its large head featuring an elaborate headdress. The figure is depicted wearing ear spools, large cable necklace/collar The face is strikingly rendered with incised eyes, aquiline nose with nose ornament, parted lips with teeth exposed. The figure is a female as indicated by her small breasts. She stands with her arms held at her sides. Remaining area of red pigment on backside.
