Porsche 997 Raid steering wheel Techart Gemballa

This auction is for the Raid black leather steering wheel I had fitted to my 997 C2S. It was in the car for 3 months during which time I did less than 2000 miles so the steering wheel can easily be descibed "as new condition".

This is a 340mm diameter wheel which is not only smaller than the OE wheels but also thicker, making it superb to use and it totally transformed the way the car felt as I found the standard multi function wheel far too thin. It also features perforated leather grips and a small Porsche badge which I added.

It will fit all 997 models, inc the Turbo, (except Tiptronic) and I had this fitted to my car which originally had the multi function wheel fitted, even though this wheel does not have any built in multi function buttons. Fitting of the wheel was done in around 30 minutes and no warning messages or dash lights were illuminated due to the fact this aftemarket wheel was fitted. Obviously the wheel will also fit cars fitted without the multi function wheel. This wheel comes with its own air bag and wiring adapters which simply plug into the Porsche wiring loom.

The wheel is made by Raid in Germany and this is the same wheel used by Techart, Gemballa (hence the picture of the wheel fitted), Speedart etc who all retail the wheel for a rediculous amount of money. This exact Daytona wheel can also be purchased from aftermarket stores for around £870 including the 997 adapter boss which is also included in this sale.
