The dress is made from an eye-catching pink & black tartan fabric. The bodice is cut in shaped panels, with all the seams boned. Baby pink satin bias trims the seams & top edge of the bodice. Black Guipure lace trims the front seams & is used in the off-shoulder straps. The dress also has ruched, pink tartan straps. Black satin flowers trimmed with "pearls" decorate the front bodice. The dress fastens with eyelets & baby pink ribbon at the back, with a small zip in the skirt. There is also a modesty panel under the fastenings. The fully gathered skirt is trimmed with baby pink lace & black satin rosebuds around the hem. For a tutu effect the hem has a gathered pink net frill.
