Ping 'Dalehead' Anser Putter. A rare opportunity to acquire a 'Dalehead' Anser in Manganese Bronze dating from the early 70's. The 'Dalehead' acquired it's nickname when Karsten Solheim incorporated his golf company as the Karsten Manufacturing Corporation in 1967 and the putter was the first Scotts'dale' anser with a different cavity from the previous models bearing the Ping Golf Company name. The shaft is original measuring 35 inches but does not have it's original band, it was regripped with a 'Pingman' grip some time ago when the original grip had disintegrated. The putter can be clearly identified as a 'Dalehead' by the characteristic vertical depth of the rear mould but feel free to e mail with any questions you might have. The putter has been part of my Ping collection which I am unfortunately having to sell due to a lack of storage space and has not been used by me on a golf course since I acquired it. |
