Our customers are what have motivated, and helped us, to become Pub of the Year ’04 and ’06 and, for that, we thank both existing and new visitors. Everyone who walks through the door is welcomed whether having a pint or a four course meal.

Pier 36 overlooking Donaghadee harbour stands in a unique, picturesque location and enjoys an outstanding reputation as one of Ireland’s finest pub / restaurants having acquired such accolades as Seafood Pub of the Year, BBC Olive magazine’s Ireland’s Top Gastropub and being announced one of The Guardian’s Top 6 fish restaurants in the United Kingdom.

Daily specials of shellfish from Strangford Lough and locally caught langoustines, sole, monkfish and lobster amongst others join the recently introduced, excellent value lunch and grill menus. Meat eaters don’t despair, unlike many seafood restaurants a wide range of chicken dishes, superb steaks from locally reared beef and delights such as organic gammon and local estate venison also feature on the menu.

One of the few places to stay in Donaghadee Pier 36 provides tastefully decorated and spacious rooms, with sea views and superb breakfast making it an ideal place to lay your head. Always listening to customer’s needs and trying to meet them mean the family have just completed an extensive refurbishment of the Beer Garden at Pier 36. This includes both smoking and non-smoking areas thereby catering for both the recent smoking ban and for those who welcomed it.
